March – Death or Glory
Written in 1895 by the American composer of march music Robert Hall, Death or Glory is better known in the US as the Tenth Regiment March.
Hall was born and lived in the US state of Maine, and though he rarely travelled his music is known around the world.
Death or Glory has become a brass band favourite was used in the opening scene of the 1996 comedy-drama film about a Yorkshire coal-miners’ band, “Brassed Off”.
